Please make sure you fill out and complete our registration form in full and click Submit at the end, you will need to add a photo of your ‘Right To Work in the UK Document’ so get that ready before you start, this can be The photo page of your passport, Birth Certificate with Driving License, Citizenship card . If you were born outside of the UK, you will need your Gov Share Code, BRP Card and Passport. If you are filling the form out using a mobile phone turn the phone sideways for dropdown menus.

Most of our jobs are advertised on our Newthorn (recruiter) Facebook Page. If an upcoming job is local to your area, we will text you in advance to give you the opportunity of working locally.

We send out confirmation text a week before the event to your mobile and/or email with all the information you will need to attend the event , please read through carefully , each event is different and uniform can vary , for the most part you will need.

Black trousers (Not jogging bottoms)

Smart Black or White Shirt or Polo Shirt

Walking Boots, broken in, comfortable

Waterproof trousers and coat preferably black/dark

A hat/cap gloves can be worn, it’s chilly at night even on hot days, plenty of warm layers

Suncream

No football shirts, logos, or tracksuits

Do not bring valuable items with you – It is your responsibility to look after your own belongings.  Newthorn or our clients will not be held responsible for any losses.

PAYMENT

You will be sent a New Starter Link for your Bank Details.  This can be filled out after your first shift or before, whichever is most convenient for you .

We pay weekly wherever possible.  Our working week is Sunday to Saturday .

We pay PAYE ( we will pay your Tax & NI ) by BAC’S payment (paid into your bank account),  Payroll is run every Wednesday when you receive an emailed payslip, your money will go into your account three days after on Friday.

We pay Self Employed, with a valid UTR number, via your emailed invoice on Fridays.

Some benefits, pay rates, holiday pay can differ according to the event, client and area , some offer food/Food vouchers, paid/unpaid breaks, partial uniform . Please check you are happy with the afore mentioned before accepting each position.

CAN I CAMP ON SITE?

At some events there are camping facilities on site. You will need to check with us. You will need to provide your own camping gear and please remember to be quiet at night as you will be staying on the workers campsite.

Personal Hygiene

Food can be contaminated very easily when it is handled. Therefore, it is essential that you always maintain good standards of personal hygiene to ensure that food does not get contaminated with harmful germs, dirt or ‘foreign bodies’.

Staff should:

You should wash and dry your hands
Wear clean clothes and an apron or protective garment
Not touch their face or hair
Cover cuts or sores with clean waterproof dressings
Wash hands after blowing their nose
Not cough or sneeze over food
Not smoke
Not wear jewellery, nail varnish or false nails, which might fall into food
